Asia is the fastest-growing region for solar PV deployment worldwide. Before venturing into PV investments, however, the economic and regulatory environment of the various countries need to be assessed. This is highly dynamic, as energy markets are undergoing a transformation which will require policy makers and regulators to re-design their strategies and include renewables. Furthermore, while there are sufficient funds available in the financial sector for PV investments, there is a lack of well-developed, properly executed and hence “bankable” projects. In countries that have embarked on PV deployments years ago, the existing PV assets are in the operational phase with key learnings for future project development, operation and maintenance.
Against this backdrop, the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) invites you to the SERIS INDUSTRY DAY on “PV Quality and Asset Management” on August 14th 2017 to learn from leading experts about the latest trends and discuss with them about previous experiences and future developments.
SERIS will also be reaching out to regional Embassies and institutional investors to intensify the networking and to inform you of upcoming opportunities in the SE Asian region.
The presentations are in the wider context of ensuring Quality and proper Asset Management along the project lifecycle of a PV investment:
