Prof Runa HELLWIG, Director of the Solar and Energy Efficient Buildings (SEEB) Cluster at SERIS prsented at the public event "Urban Solar: Beyond Numbers" with a talk titled "Building Integrated Photovoltaics - Overcoming perceived barriers to the adoption of facade integrated renewable energy generation".

Our R&D focus is on industrially relevant materials, components, processes, systems and services for (i) photovoltaic electricity generation and (ii) solar and energy efficient buildings.
Targeted leadership areas include industrial silicon wafer solar cells, PV modules for the tropics, PV module testing, high-performance PV systems for the tropics, management of the variability of PV for grids with a high solar share, solarisation of Singapore, and PV quality assurance in Asia.
At SERIS, we offer a “one-stop shop” for PV stakeholders with in-house R&D labs, characterisation and testing, which provide a multi-disciplinary approach to optimise customer products.
We also collaborate closely with universities, research organisations, government agencies and industry, both locally and globally.
