Heterojunction Silicon Wafer Solar Cell Group


The Heterojunction (HJ) Silicon Solar Cell Group develops advanced solar cell architectures and related high-throughput manufacturing processes which aim to cost-effectively realise very high (26%) PV efficiencies on thin (< 140 µm) industrial Cz silicon wafers. The group operates an R&D pilot line for large-area heterojunction and back-contact silicon solar cells, including inductively coupled plasma deposition, ion implantation, and copper metallisation.
